Felicia Pride is a writer, speaker, and creator. She produces stuff and helps others do the same. She's part artist, part entrepreneur and doesn't mind so much when the two sides argue, because usually something brilliant emerges. She likes good music, fine wine and grand books. Fellina Pride, BackList Procurer

Fellina Pride has been a teacher of early childhood education, an advocate for the mentally and physically disabled, a sales associate and a manager for a major retail company in Maryland. Those thirteen years of varied experienced have led her to BackList where she has found her niche. As the self-anointed BackList Procurer, she has the esteemed honor of being the go-to for contacts, contracts, marketing strategies, and product development. Yeah, she makes stuff happen.

Annie Gordon, Sensei Mentor

Annie Gordon is a master educator. During her 38 years as an educator, she has served as a classroom teacher, teacher mentor, reading specialist, assistant principal, and eleven years as an elementary school principal. Annie is an advocate for all children by promoting leadership development initiatives for school leaders and facilitating parent involvement programs. Annie earned a M.Ed. from Johns Hopkins University and attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education's Institute for Principals. She has taught graduate level reading and supervision/instructional leadership courses and she has also presented at national and state conferences. As the Sensei Mentor, Annie will continue her passion for teaching and learning by serving as an outreach mentor for educators, youth service providers, aspiring and new school administrators.

Candace Daki, Marketing & Outreach Coordinator

Candace Simmons is a writer, poet, and emerging filmmaker. Her books include contra/diction, a collection of untitled poems, and Lip Gloss & Battle Boots, a collage of prose, poetry, and pop culture musings. Her essays, poems, and short stories have been included in several print and online publications including ThisisRealMusic.com, Fox 5's My Voice DC, and The Liberator magazine. She's produced several short film projects, and assisted on numerous sets-in every role from Assistant Director, Production Assistant, to the Make-up artists. When she's not writing and making films, she tutors reading and literacy to students in DC Public Schools. candace@thebacklist.net
